Each Tibanna file is a portable, standalone file that carries with it content, rules, wrapper and payment system ... a totally autonomous file that is ideal for peer-to-peer ecommerce, especially because it has an affiliate system built in.


The Tibanna System consists of a generator and the wrapped content produced by the generator.

The Tibanna generator gives you the ability to securely wrap (encrypt and prevent tampering with) content, specify rules for access to that content, and make that content available for sale.

The Tibanna player is a small application contained within each piece of content wrapped by the Tibanna generator. The player gives users an easy way to view sample content, and to easily purchase and sign content, all protected by merchant-specified rules.

Tibanna wrapped content can be distributed either as an executable program (.exe) or as standalone content (.xmfg). The executable program contains and installs the necessary Tibanna runtime files as well as the content. The standalone content is able to download and install or update any necessary runtime files without user intervention.

Significantly, the runtime files needed are the identical runtime files installed when a person loads the Morpheus P2P client.

The following Tibanna wrapped content demonstration is of a newsletter published in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. There are two documents contained within the Tibanna wrapper.

The first document is a sample document consisting of the first page of the complete newsletter. This document could be any document that the merchant wished to make available prior to the content being purchased. This sample document may be fully navigated and even printed according to the merchant-specified rules.

The second document is the full newsletter consisting of 3 pages. This document is available only after the content has been purchased. The full newsletter may be fully navigated, but not printed or cut-and-pasted or copied, also according to the merchant specified-rules.

At any time, before or after purchase, the document may be signed or re-signed, allowing the user to receive merchant-specified credit if anyone subsequently purchases a copy of that content.

Note: If you download the executable version with Microsoft Internet Explorer, please choose to "Open" the document. If you are downloading the executable version with Netscape, you must save the document to disk, then find and run the document from disk.

The necessary Tibanna run-time files are downloaded only once -- the first time someone downloads a document. After that, only the small content file is downloaded.

After Tibanna is running, Tibanna will first ask you where you want to store the content (usually C:\Tibanna), and will place a shortcut on your desktop for easy access to the document in the future.

The sample document will then be displayed. Note that the sample can be completely navigated and printed.

To purchase the full newsletter, click, on the "Buy" button in the upper right corner of Tibanna. Tibanna will open a web browser and initiate the transaction at the Pocketpass web site. When the transaction is completed, Tibanna will first mark the document as paid and insert the purchaser's signature into the document. Tibanna will then display the full newsletter. Note that the full newsletter can be completely navigated, but not printed.

To sign or re-sign the content, click on the "Sign" button in the upper right corner of Tibanna. Tibanna will ask for your Pocketpass Passmanager user name and password, then insert your signature into the document.

The Tibanna wrapped file can also be copied and freely distributed by any method (server, e-mail attachment, peer-to-peer, CD etc.) because the file carries with it the rules and the full newsletter which remains encrypted and can be purchased by subsequent viewers of the sample content.

The unique and patent-pending capabilities of Tibanna's signing and automatic affiliate-system makes it ideal for legitimate peer-to-peer e-commerce and provides a profit incentive to counter unauthorized pirating of material.
